Go to the movies. Most movie theaters offer discounts for senior citizens and early showtimes. Get the most out of your movie money by calling in advance to ask about pricing and discounts.

You can further save money by eating before the movie. This will keep you from spending money on high-priced theater junk food. It also cuts down on all those empty calories.

Go for a moonlight walk. Take your sweetheart somewhere romantic: a lake, a park, a beach, or some other recreation area that is not likely to be crowded at night. Go for a leisurely stroll. This is a good time to talk about your dreams. You can pick a comfortable spot to sit and gaze at the stars.

Go to the zoo. The admission is usually pretty cheap. If both of you love animals you could have hours of fun. Some zoos have things like train rides and elephant rides. If that is available at your zoo and you can afford it, I certainly recommend it.

Enjoy nature. There are many great places to enjoy nature. The best places are parks, forests, or even your own back yard.

Dress comfortably. Enjoy your time outside by listening to and watching the birds and squirrels. Sit in a comfortable spot or lie on a blanket and look around. Animals do the oddest things, especially squirrels and it can be great fun making these observations together.

To thoroughly enjoy this activity you have to be willing to slow down and just let nature be your entertainment. It can be very relaxing and great fun.
